Memory diagnostic clinics
State of Wisconsin dementia diagnostic clinics (Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute)
Remember, an early diagnosis is critically important. The sooner you begin to understand the disease and strategies to cope, the better the quality of life for all involved. Memory clinics are staffed by providers who are well-informed in the diagnosis and treatment of dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
There is no one diagnostic test that can detect if a person has Alzheimer's disease. Once an in-depth history and several tests are completed, a diagnosis of "probable" Alzheimer's disease can be made by the process of elimination. However, the diagnosis is has a high rate of accuracy.
