The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin depends almost entirely on individual and business contributions to fund its programs and services.

 

100% of your donation stays in Wisconsin, helping our local community with personalized support, education, insight, compassion, and promoting research at

the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center for a cure and better treatments.

Direct Donation


We accept one-time or monthly contributions through checks, or credit cards. Checks may be made payable to ADAW and mailed to: Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of WI 6314 Odana Road, Suite 4 Madison, WI 53719. Pledge Gift: Set your giving amount and the duration. Payments will be processed the 1st of the month. Recurring Gift: Give monthly. Payments will be processed on the 1st or 15th of each month. Donate Online Here




Memorial & Tribute Gifts


A tribute or memorial gift is a meaningful way to convey sympathy to the bereaved, memorialize a loved one, commemorate a special occasion or honor a person’s life. Stocks and Mutual Fund Shares


If you are an investor donating stock to ADAW makes good sense. Donating stock can potentially minimize taxes by getting a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock, avoiding capital gains tax on the stock’s appreciation. And furthering ADAW’s mission.

Stock transfers do not need to be complicated or expensive. If you wish to donate stock or mutual funds held in a brokerage account, give your broker the name of the stock that you wish to donate and the number of shares. Please have your broker call for current account information.

IRA Charitable Rollover


If you are 70½ or older, you are eligible to make charitable gifts directly from your individual retirement account (IRA). These gifts satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year and reduce your taxable income, all while allowing you to give pretax dollars to ADAW.

Benefits of an IRA Charitable Rollover:

  • Avoid the 50% deduction limit on charitable gifts

Life Insurance


Life insurance is one of the easiest ways to leave a legacy. If the policy premiums are complete, simply name Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin as beneficiary. If premium payments are needed, you may assign your insurance policy to ADAW and continue to make annual, tax-deductible contributions to cover the premium. Donor-Advised Funds


Are you looking for an easy, cost-effective way to support ADAW and other causes you love? A donor-advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, may be the right choice for you.

Here's how it works. You transfer cash or other assets to a tax-exempt sponsoring organization, such as a public foundation. You can then recommend, but not direct how much and how often money is granted to ADAW, sometimes as easily as using a Web portal (like Fidelity Charitable)

You avoid the cost and complexities of managing a private foundation.

You qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction at the time you contribute to the account, and the power to make recommendations on which charities to support whenever you want.
